CEM is involved in achieving the Goals of the UPM Strategic Plan 2021-2025 through Goal 1 and Goal 4 as follows:

GOAL 1: FOSTERING RESILIENT GRADUATES TO FACE FUTURE CHALLENGES

The entrepreneurial initiative through PUTRA®PRENEUR focuses on driving a major entrepreneurial idea by strengthening the integrated entrepreneurship ecosystem, which can shift students' minds from job seekers to job creators. This effort indirectly enhances the quality of human capital, attributes, and high entrepreneurial values, thereby contributing to the employability of UPM graduates.

Strategic Objective 2: Shaping Graduate Character and Potential

Main Initiatives

(3) Programs/Activities designed and organized based on the eight (8) core strategies of the HEPA Strategic Plan, namely Agriculture Sustainability, Digitalization, Volunteerism, Graduate Employability, Internationalization, Entrepreneurship, Patriotism, and Unity, as well as campus life.

(5) PUTRA®PRENEUR focuses on driving a major entrepreneurial idea by strengthening the integrated entrepreneurship ecosystem, which can shift students' minds from job seekers to job creators. This effort indirectly enhances the quality of human capital, attributes, and high entrepreneurial values, thereby contributing to the employability of UPM graduates.

The action strategies to achieve these goals are as follows:

1. Students who participate in structured entrepreneurship programs (2-3 months) organized by CEM are required to register their businesses with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM).
2. Encouraging students engaged in online businesses to register their businesses with CCM.
3. Collaborating with CCM to facilitate registrations at UPM.
4. Promoting free first-time registration for CCM among UPM students.

GOAL 4: STRENGTHENING AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECURITY RESILIENCE

UPM also needs to produce human capital with agricultural entrepreneurship attributes based on technology. Modern agricultural entrepreneurs with technological agricultural knowledge can prove that agriculture is a business that guarantees significant returns. These graduates can contribute to improving the country's food security, position themselves as job creators rather than job seekers, and make UPM a model of successful agriculture that generates income. Every innovation and agricultural technology resulting from research will be applied in UPM's agricultural activities to demonstrate the success of innovation and technology in increasing the quantity and quality of agricultural production.
