Singapore, May 8, 2024 - A delegation from CEM UPM conducted a courtesy visit and important visit to LinkedIn Singapore today. The beneficial meeting served as a platform for exchanging views and exploring potential collaborations between the two organizations.

The UPM delegation was led by the Director of CEM, Dr. Hizmawati Madzin, Deputy Director of CEM Ludinata Misnun, and Head of Graduate Employability Section, Ahmad Fauzi Abu Bakar.

Various topics were discussed during the meeting, including the current industry landscape, emerging job trends post-Covid-19 pandemic, job market in the global economic downturn, and innovative strategies for talent selection and international professional networking.

According to the Director of CEM, the visit to LinkedIn Singapore marks a significant step forward in strengthening relations and leveraging synergies for mutual benefit.

"It symbolizes a commitment to building meaningful partnerships and leveraging expertise and resources.

"We can learn how two public universities in Singapore, Nanyang Technology University (NTU) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), collaborate strategically with LinkedIn to ensure their graduates' competitiveness in the job market through the LinkedIn platform," she added.

Meanwhile, Mastura Mansor, Head of Public Sector at LinkedIn Malaysia, said, looking ahead, we at LinkedIn are excited for further discussions with UPM.

"We expect ongoing dialogue and exploration of concrete cooperation in the near future with UPM specifically and the Ministry of Higher Education in general," she added.

The visit, in conjunction with the Public University Graduate Marketability and Career Council (MyGRAD) meeting, was also attended by delegations from all public universities in Malaysia - CEM.
