The Gold Medal for Shell Tiram Wawasan Entrepreneurship is a University Prize sponsored by a Shell fuel operator/ entrepreneur, Tiram Wawasan Enterprise (001762426-W), starting from the academic session 2017/2018.

The original name of this award was the UPM Student Entrepreneurship Award & Shell Station Retailer Entrepreneurship Award (for 5 years), which has been renewed starting from the 2023/2024 session.

General Requirements:

(i) Obtain a CGPA of 3.00 and above
(ii) Never failed or repeated a course
(iii) Has not been subjected to disciplinary action
(iv) Full-time student

Specific Requirements:

(i) Study Level: Bachelor's degree graduates

(ii) Excellence Level:
- Excellent academic performance
- Active in co-curricular activities
- Actively involved in CEM (Center for Entrepreneurship and Graduate Employability Development) programs
- Active in business and registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)
- Conducted business for a minimum of (4) months

(iii) Achievement Level - Achievement Calculation Percentage (Weightage)
- Academic 50%
- Entrepreneurship 50%
(a) Registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) 5%
(b) Type of business conducted, i.e., Sdn Bhd, sole proprietorship, partnership, or enterprise 5%
(c) Generated profits (Initial capital & Annual returns) 15%
(d) Providing employment opportunities 15%
(e) Innovative products 10%
